Writing

"Gracious words are like a honeycomb, sweetness to the soul and health to the body."  - Proverbs 16:24

I love interviewing people and writing their inspirational stories. Through my work with Guideposts, and some of the books I've written, I've had the honor of listening to amazing people, hearing their stories and then using my writing experience to help tell their stories to encourage others.

In my years of writing I've been published in numerous magazines such as Today's Christian Woman, Guideposts, MomSense, Thriving Family and more. Currently, I'm writing for and managing a weekly blog for Flatirons Community Church in Colorado. I have the honor of working with many talented writers who volunteer their gifts to serve this community. Read my most recent blog here.

I've also written three books and, as the publishing manager for MOPS International, I've worked with numerous authors, publishers and agents on more than 20 books.

Journal writing Workshops

I’m certified to teach journal writing techniques to help people with personal and spiritual growth, creative expression, personal development, goal setting, stress management, decision-making and more.

My training is through the Center for Journal Therapy in Denver, CO, based on a book by Kathleen Adams,  Journal to the Self. This program is recognized as one of the top programs in the field of therapeutic writing.

This experiential workshop features a series of journal writing techniques and exercises. Each person will discover what journaling tools work best for them. Whether someone wants to work on a relationship, write creatively about a special moment, organize time or brainstorm solutions, this workshop will inspire the writer.
